How to use it
- Add one or more images.
- Pick the format and the quality. 70 to 80 percent is a good start.
- Press Compress and compare the sizes in the list.
Questions
How much smaller will the files get?
Photos often shrink by 50 to 90 percent. Files that are already small may not shrink, and the original is kept in that case.
Does compression lower the quality?
JPG and WebP lose a little detail. At 75 percent it is hard to see. Lower the quality for smaller files.
Why not PNG?
PNG is lossless and cannot be compressed much more. Convert photos to JPG or WebP for big savings.
